Exiting your business – Panel discussion
September 10 @ 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
This event is a must see for businesses and entrepreneurs looking to build a successful business with a view to exit.
We are thrilled to bring an experienced panel together, for an insightful discussion on the challenges of exiting a business you’ve built from scratch.
Join us in a discussion with Sarah-Jane Lawson and Edwin Lim from Hudson Gavin Martin, along with co-founders Ivan Seselj and Richard Holmes from Promapp, as we explore the acquisition process and their experiences dealing with USA purchasers.
Ivan Seselj
Ivan is passionate about helping organisations improve the way they share and manage their business process knowledge. At 22 he left his fledgling career with Deloitte to embark on his first entrepreneurial venture. He returned to New Zealand after four years in the UK and Canada and founded Promapp in 2002. For 16 years he has been the CEO and Director, as Promapp has grown internationally.
Richard Holmes
Richard began in accounting before heading overseas, working on change projects in the UK and Australia. He returned to New Zealand to work on process transformation, until Ivan showed him the entrepreneurial light in 2002 and together they founded Promapp. Richard has been the COO and director of promapp for the entire 16 year journey from startup to exit.
Edwin Lim
Edwin has specialised in technology, media and intellectual property since 2000. His main areas of practice are technology procurement and support, outsourcing and services, intellectual property commercialisation and technology due diligence. Edwin has acted for Promapp from their start-up stage right through to exit in 2018, on all matters including negotiating contracts with its growing customer base, many of whom are Fortune 500 companies, and helping Promapp to identify and protect its various intellectual property and realising value through its IP.
Sarah-Jane Lawson
Sarah-Jane has practised corporate and commercial law for over 15 years. She regularly advises on the sale and purchase of businesses and worked with Promapp since joining HGM through to the sale to Nintex.
