For this year’s AGM, we’ve invited speakers to talk with you about alternate sources of business funding like the NXT, crowd sourcing and peer to peer lending. They’ll also be an opportunity to learn more about the investment side of these funds.

Tim Bennett, CEO, NZX
Tim was appointed CEO of NZX in May 2012. Prior to joining NZX, Tim was a partner at Oliver Wyman in Singapore, and previously was a partner with the Boston Consulting Group in Asia and Australia. Shaun Edlin, Head – Company Pipeline and Services, Snowball Effect
Shaun completed an MSc in neuroscience at the University of Canterbury, and went on to study IP law at Victoria University. He has spent most of his professional life working on the commercialisation of technology, first at the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand, and subsequently at renowned biofuels company, LanzaTech. Shaun is passionate about innovation and technology, especially in the biomedicine, biotech, ICT and greentech sectors. Duncan Gross, Head of Institutional Funding, Harmoney
Duncan has spent the last 13 years in the United States working in the heart of the FinTech movement. He began his career as an analyst with BNZ Finance, before achieving an MBA from Babson College. Brian Monahan, Chief Ideas Guy, Inflection & Investment Team, KiwiConnect
Brian studied at Harvard University with a dual-concentration in economics and psychology, but left after his sophomore year to start Inflection with his brother Matthew. Yoseph Ayele, Operations Team, KiwiConnect
Yoseph studied leadership and social change at Harvard University. While on a fellowship at the University of Cambridge, he researched how financial institutions can make positive social and environmental impact. He also researched how to build entrepreneurial ecosystems while based at the Victoria University of Wellington. He is part of the Operations team at KiwiConnect and spends significant time building strategic relationships throughout New Zealand. Prior to that, Yoseph lived in San Francisco where he helped grow Inflection by building its teams.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
