We have a new Minister! Judith Collins (Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology) has taken a keen interest in the potential for New Zealand to harness the power of AI. She attended a number of our events in the last year and we are really looking forward to working with her going forward.
We said goodbye to two of our Executive Council
Both Maria Mingallon from Mott MacDonald and Matt Lythe from Lynker Analytics have been amazing in the amount they contributed during their tenure. We look forward to continuing working with you – your commitment and energy is infectious!
..and we welcomed two new Executive Council Members
Tim Bradley from AWS will be a familiar face to anyone who’s been an avid supporter of the Forum getting heavily involved in our Hackathon Festivals and this year’s Summit, and Natalie Rouse from Mantel Group who is incredibly active in the AI space and brings energy and enviable knowledge to our group.
We are in great shape for 2024
Our membership is stronger and more engaged than ever backing up a huge volume of work produced in 2023 with much more in plan for 2024.

Matt Ensor from FranklyAI is continuing to Chair our LLM work with the first proof of concept for a living library of information – a new white paper format that is delivered using the very technology it’s talking about – being launched in a Webinar on 12 December.
