In the lead up to our AI Summit next month we are all still buzzing from our second annual AI for the Environment Hackathon Festival.
With six venues in Auckland, Christchurch, Waikato and Wellington, and joined for the first time by Fiji, the level of competition really hotted up and the quality of outputs was astounding!
The top four teams pitching to the audience at our Summit in September are DeepWeed (Wellington), Team Illegal Dumping (Waikato), Lincoln (Christchurch) and Trap Feng Shui (Auckland). Our Summit audience will choose the overall TAIAO Prize winner, kindly sponsored this year by Eagle Technology.
Special thanks to our partners and hosts AWS, Lynker Analytics, Callaghan Innovation, ANZ, University of Waikato, academyEX, She Sharp, PowerCo, Mott Macdonald, NZME and Google, and to all of the organisations and individuals who gave their time and expertise!

AI Summit Pre-event workshops
If you are attending the Summit this year we are offering exclusive pre-event workshops. Places at these events are very limited so get in touch here if you or your colleagues are interested in attending.
1. Unveiling the Future: Bridging AI and IoT in Infrastructure
MottMacDonald is facilitating an interactive IoT/AI workshop aimed at upskilling people from organisations involved in designing, developing, operating and overseeing infrastructure. This is a hands-on workshop with real life use cases. The objective is for every participant to leave with an actionable implementation plan.
2. The Evolution of Technology and AI in Shaping the Future
Google Cloud is facilitating this interactive session aimed at two key participant groups: Decision makers and strategists who want a deeper understanding of the technology and practitioners who want to learn more about the new capabilities available.
Participants will learn skills in implementing best practices to drive growth and achieving goals, ensuring a growth mindset and culture to evolve and improve continuously, and ensuring security and control to access data.
