Kia ora,
It’s been great to return to purposeful work and thankfully my recovery is progressing well.
This week, my key focus is working with the executive directors for the associations in the NZTech Group. We’re developing budgets and plans for the coming financial year. It is impressive to reflect on the last year’s work by our talented team, including 96 member events, six conferences, 82 media stories, six research reports, 10 submissions, the Agritech Story, the See Tomorrow First tech story campaign, Techweek, FinTech Findr and regular Government engagement. This is a massive effort by a small dedicated team and our engaged members. Thank you.
Next week’s highlight is our annual Cyber Security Summit in Wellington. This two day conference brings together hundreds of cyber professionals and industry leaders to hear the latest trends in cyber security and learn how to keep Aotearoa’s businesses safe. I’m looking forward to working with one of my favourite cyber experts, Hilary Walton, to chair the event.
Meanwhile, planning is well underway for Techweek23 and event submissions are now open. The week will begin with the Tomorrow Expo in Auckland 10-12 May, so secure your space now.
Ngā mihi nui
